It was around 1980. But how did it started?
The history of Berlin Hip Hop started with a few groups of Breakdancers in the City West-Berlin

Berlin has been surounded by the Berlin Wall. A few member of the Denots Crew started with Breakdance battles on a city place called "Ku-Damm". Also other crews and guys called Telle and Jay Jay which became famous later on.

We got inspired by the underground hip hop scene focussing New York.

Around 1982 we started to put letters on Mixtapes. Then we coloured our pieces on furniture. In winter 1982 we coloured and painted hundreds of seats on public busses. We started with Graffiti on walls 1983.

And we´re still doing it today...
